What the schools might do if they considered the emotions more deeply holds untold possibilities.
Should you find your schools lacking, the matter does not have to rest there. You can form parents' groups or citizens' groups to bring emotional education into the place it should have.
In this direction lies a tremendous dream for the future. A dream which we need desperately to convert into reality. A dream of home and school working together to give to the generations who shall inherit the earth an inner awareness of their own emotions so that they may translate this in turn into an awareness of others. Themselves more knowingly aware of the needs of human beings--equipped with the only awareness that can ever produce a decent world.
